Permalink Reply by Beks (Moderator) on August 6, 2010 at 5:05pm How old do u have to be to book a room. I went last year with my two sisters. But this year my younger sister and I want to go and our older sister doesn't want to. I'll be 21 and my other sister will be 19. Does anyone know if we will be able to book it or do we need someone older to come again?

Unless, I can find a cheap flight that can get me there ON TIME the day of. Would there be a shuttle from Fort Lauderdale?! When I cruised our Carnival ship disembarked from Ft. Lauderdale.

Permalink Reply by Stacy on August 7, 2010 at 10:54pm I've been on 2 regular cruises before, but hoping to get on the NK's cruise this year! :) You get a room key/card the day you get on the boat, with your name and cabin # on it. You basically use that card to pay for everything you purchase on the boat (when you get a drink you sign a receipt and they charge it to your card, when you buy something in the gift shop same thing, etc), kind of like a tab. You can either deposit cash to your card, to have a credit on it, before you sail, and if you owe anything at the end of the cruise, you just go to the customer service counter and pay off your bill. Otherwise, you can simply attach a credit card number to your sail & sign card and it's automatically billed directly to the visa/mastercard/etc. The only time you'll need actual spending cash/debit is if you're in like Nassau, Bahamas, and decide to buy something. Also, in case you weren't aware, Half Moon Cay is actually an island owned by the cruise line company, so, if you decide to buy anything while you're there, it too will be charged to your room card. The card is great because it deters you from carrying around your cash while you're walking around the boat.
